Bob’s version of Shublesoup (Bean Soup) 1 Large corn pot 2 pieces of Farmer’s sausage (preferably Winkler’s double smoked) You can substitute a smoked ham hock if desired 2 small bags of frozen cut yellow beans 1 small bag of frozen cut green beans FRESH is better 2 carrots 2 potatoes 1 onion 2 bay leaves 5 or 6 stems or sticks of summer savory 1 pinch of chili flakes 1 pinch of tarragon 1 dollop of butter Salt & pepper Fill pot ¾ full with water Cut sausage into 1” or 1-1/2” pieces and all ingredients into small pieces to fit spoon Add all ingredients to the pot and bring to a boil, you can add water to fill pot depending on how much the ingredients fill the pot. You can add salt depending on how salty the sausage is. Let simmer for a couple of hours Can be served with a touch of cream if desired
