Boko Haram are allegedly trying to establish control in Mubi, the second largest town of Adamawa State, attacked by insurgents October 29, 2014, Wednesday. It would be recalled that Mubi and several other nearby communities were thrown into chaos yesterday following the terrorists’ raid, as a result of which many civilians were killed and hundreds of soldiers fled Mubi town. Punch reports that the authorities were forced to impose 24-hour curfew in the affected territories, which move was approved by Adamawa State governor Bala James Ngillari. Sahara Reporters also provided that the insurgents took over the headquarters of the 234 battalion in the town. Another evidence given to Punch by one of the residents suggests that the situation worsened. A parent, identified as Ahmad Sajoh, told the correspondent that his daughter called him at 2pm on Wednesday saying that the police barracks in the Government Reservation Area was overrun by the insurgents and the prison was blown open.
