Boletus rufomaculatus - a new bolete for Central Park - Noah Siegel recognized this one, one that I have been eating for several years, thinking it was a variant of Boletus bicolor! Its huge, very fleshy, very small tube layer, stains blue gradually but completely, though it fades quickly, and the cap is distinctively marked.....The flesh turns a brilliant yellow in the pan, and it tastes great! Now, at least, I know what to call it.
