Bon giorno from Rome! Lots of photos to share when we get to Sorento later today. WiFi wasnt working at the hotel here so we have to wait til we can use our own computer. The Vatican was impressive, especially the Sistine Chapel. Michelangelo didnt want to paint it because he considerded himself a sculpter. Lucky for us the Pope wanted otherwise. The colosseum is not where the Christians were fed to the lions. It was the circus maximus. We toured the basement of the colosseum where they kept the animals and where the gladiators arrived underground from their quarters across the street. Stay tuned for photos... Pat, Steve, and Cate.
