Chef Mike Le Jardin Menu for Friday, September 06, 2013 Grilled Pork Sandwich 7 Whole loin of pork is cut into ‘boneless chops’ and marinated in ginger, garlic, scallions and soy; then fire grilled. The sandwich is served on a Ciabatta type roll with fresh made coleslaw dressed in a Japanese style ginger dressing. Eggplant Parmesan 8 Beautiful medallions of "Black Beauty" eggplant, San Marzano style plum tomatoes and fresh picked basil from my own garden go into this baked, not fried version of this traditional Italian staple. Grilled Green Tomato Caprese Salad 7 Mature but green tomatoes are marinated in an agrodolce of balsamic vinegar and brown sugar and lightly grilled. The grilled tomatoes are mixed with basil fresh from the garden and sliced mozzarella to make the salad. Simply delicious! Blueberry Cheesecake Bars 5 Organic blueberries picked by me and homemade blueberry jam (made by me) are combined with fresh lemon zest and a gingersnap crust to make aan easy to eat blueberry cheesecake treat! Served two per order. Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies 3 Premium dark and semi-sweet chocolate combine with pecans from the Black Prairie of North Mississippi to make a delicious, addictive, cookie. All sauces are homemade. All vegetables and fruits are locally grown and are either hand picked by me personally or sourced and selected individually from local farmers whenever possible, ensuring the highest quality ingredients.
