So the American Table. Well I have to say that I really enjoyed most of the new menu items and the food quality was exceptional and the ratings are showing that the guests agree. I also loved the sharing items but again I can see how it may not be so easy to share a plate with people you have only just met. You can of course order these “to share” items just for yourself, that is important to remember. The waiters are now getting used to serving the American Table way and I spoke to some of them and they also agreed with me about the food quality and variety being top notch. It was also interesting to listen to the 50/50 split about the tablecloths. Some guests and waiters miss them………………..some do not……………..it will be interesting to see where the beards go with this. I hope we add the American Table menu to more ships. Change is not always easy to accept but change is needed and with this menu we have new and exciting dishes that really freshen up what we have been serving these past years. Try it, and judge for yourself. The waiters sang and danced last night to a band called the Blackened Eye Uriantors or something like that. The song is called “ I Gotta Feelin” and the “feelin” in the dining room last night as the guests danced, clapped and enjoyed the spirited performance of the waiters was one of excitement, happiness and the realisation that Carnival continues to provide the ,most affordable and most fun vacation in the world. Oh and for the Pine Yogis of this world who don’t think the beards read this page and listen to what you say…………..we are adding an extra soup and additional salad to each American Table menu and because you asked for it we will add the much requested Crème Brulee, and the Grand Marnier Soufflé Congratulations to everyone on the team , it really is a great change and as we tweak and change it will get even better. I will keep you informed about the roll out schedule cheers
