Bonjour mes amis, Cup:O:Joe in hand, the day begins with a smile ear to ear A little GoPro® footy from yesterday as Dan explored Wagon Wheel bowl… The Mtn. is skiing & riding fantastic as we now have enough coverage to open the Palisades today… Past 24hrs we have received another 4” @our base elevation of 7800’ with 5”@the summit… 24hr reads are (5a – 5a) for your edification… Just to be transparent as possible our read is from our snow plot established many, many years back, not the snowstake cam… The cam is a super cool tool but not an official measurement toll… This now brings us to a total snowfall month to date 39”@the base with 67”@the summit… Snow making operations continued throughout the night, focused on the base area, Snowkirk, Upper Solitude (the Willow patch) with temperatures currently 25.1@the base and 19.3@the summit. Winds light to variable currently… Forecast for the day, Snow showers, light with a few more inches possible, drying out tonight, cold (good for the continued snow making efforts) then a fairly small Low pressure system moving in Friday into Saturday bringing more snow to the region in the 3” to 4” range looking at the GFS model (more conservative) Roads this morning, SR88 both over the Carson Pass & Spur are R1 from Cooks to Picketts junction…. Please slow’yr roll on the way out today, plenty of POW for all to enjoy my friends Drive safe, Play all season… No need for the Kirkwood 500 out there, respect, if you have chains on, use the turn outs to let traffic move past :) So, that’s the “Scoop” for today mes amis, We are putting the finishing touches on Timber Creek and will announce as soon as the Mtn. Team, Ski & Ride, F&B and Kirkwood Sports teams have the facility ready for ya’ll… Debbie’s Cross Country Center is now open, The Meadow has 8km of groomed skating lanes available with Rentals & Lessons available daily… The mountain looks amazing, come on up this weekend and enjoy a pre-holiday shred session my friends, If you want to save on a lift ticket it is all about the EpicDay online pre-purchase. If you purchase your ticket 3 days in advance you save, 24hrs you save, if you get to KirkwoodMtn and forgot to purchase a ticket go online purchase the ticket, find a guest service team member and ask for the card, activate and skip the ticket line altogether… Fast, Simple and save… Stay Thirsty my friends, Coop
