Bookmark and Share The IOF arrests the mother of a female detainee while attending a court hearing in the Jerusalem Magistrate Court Ramallah – 26 November 2014 BREAKING: The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested Nadia Al-Mughrabi (55 years old) from the Jerusalem Magistrate Court earlier today while she was attending the hearing of her 20-year old daughter, Amani Al-Mughrabi. According to Addameer’s lawyer, Adv. Farah Batadseh, Nadia is accused of assaulting a police officer. Adv. Bayadseh added that the Magistrate Court decided to extend Amani’s detention until 6PM today. She will be released on conditional bail, as well be placed under house arrest for five days. Amani was arrested yesterday afternoon (25 November 2014) in front of her home in the Al-Tur neighborhood of Jerusalem. The Occupation’s police forces physically attacked both Amani and her mother Nadia before arresting Amani and taking her to Al-Moscobiyeh (Russian Compound) Interrogation Center, where she was underwent a police interrogation. According to Nadia’s statement to Addameer: “There were 10 soldiers from the special forces in front of our home. While my daughter and I were passing in front of them, one of them put his foot in front of me causing me to fall to the ground. When I fell to the ground, my daughter Amani tried to help me and started yelling at them, so they started beating her. They pushed her to the ground and continued to kick her in the stomach, pulled her hair and beat her on her head with their guns. After that, they dragged her on the ground to the military jeep, ripping her clothes, and not allowing anyone near her. She was then detained in Al-Moscobiyeh Interrogation Center, and we were not allowed to see her.” Nadia (55 years old) suffers from paralysis in her leg, and requires crutches to walk.
