Boozhoo anishinabeg! I still continue to eat well and exercise consistently, my health has improved with the constant daily effort. My swimming has improved, and I swim 3 times a week now, I also get high cardio workouts from 3 spin classes a week also. I continue to think, adjust, and maintain a healthier diet, daily. My morning fasting sugars are normal every morning, a direct result in learning to think and take better care of myself. My longest swim to date is a mile and a half, my minimum has increased to 3/4 of a mile, whew. The high cardio spin classes are 3 aweek on average, sometimes 4. Due to diabetes I had to find alternatives to protect and care for my feet. However, with the change and improvement in my diet, the lower blood sugar keeps the odds of infection down,. So I can probably walk more again, last summer I was walking 5 miles a day, but a blister got infected and I almost lost a toe, quite possibly my foot. That is why taking diabetes medications, eating healthy reduces risk of infections and amputations. Even if your not a diabetic, these changes in your diet and exercise will prevent diabeted and heart disease. I encourage all to tstart thinking about change, it wil improve your existing conditions, and help you prevent them. Keep trying, make the effort, you are worth it, and smile!
