For most of my life, Ive been a lip service Christian. Put God #1 in your life, Ill pray for you, I thank God, etc etc. Its not that I didnt mean all those things, I just didnt truly get it till now. Dont get me wrong, I went to church, I gave generously, I tried to do the right things, I tried to be loving, etc. The main difference is that I didnt fully trust God. I trusted in my abilities and God to be there to catch me if I fell. Somewhere deep down inside, I was afraid to give him 100% control because I was afraid he would send me to Africa or to become a pastor like my father or my brother. Then a few days ago, he kept telling me..Seek First His Kingdom and all should be ADDED to you. Every Christian knows this but it wasnt till a few days ago when God let me understand that he is adding, not substituting, nor subtracting. When I started to put God above my wife, my kids, my business, I started to see my relationship with my wife get even better than Ive ever imagined, my relationship with my kids were being healed and true communication starting to happen. I dont know what God has planned for me in my business but Im confident he will ADD to it (not necessarily in more business but I know I will become more fulfilled) Hes been showing me that if I put Him first above all, he will only add to what I have.
