Born on this date in 1966, Mille Petrozza of KREATOR. Mille has been the singer and guitarist for KREATOR since their beginning in 1985. While they may not be known to as wide of an audience as, say ANTHRAX, METALLICA or SLAYER, KREATOR is one of the best of the European thrash bands. Usually mentioned along with their contemporaries CORONER, SODOM, DESTRUCTION or TANKARD. The trio is considered highly influential in regard to other thrash bands and even many Black Metal bands. Their sound started as a speed metal/black metal hybrid and has, over the years, dabbled with industrial and gothic styles, but usually returning home to the thrash sound. Their most recent release was 2012s Phanotm AntiChrist, which they toured in support of for a year. They are reportedly working on new material for a release some time next year. Personally, Im a cheesy hair metal kinda guy. I like thrash and some heavier things...But Ill tell you,I used to play the hell out of their Coma Of Souls cassette. --John
