Bosnia and Herzegovina: SARAJEVO - Today thousands of protestors took to the streets of Sarajevo once more. The JMBG protests, which started about a month ago were initially directed against the failure of the government to provide new-born babies with functional ID-numbers, which makes it impossible for them to travel abroad. The issue came to light when a young couple with a terminal ill young baby girl was unable to travel to Germany to find better healthcare. Today, the 1st of July, the deadline which the protestors had set for their government to deal with this issue passed without any significant changes implemented. Thousands blocked the roads in central Sarajevo, calling for civil disobedience and chanting one single slogan: "Come out and fire them!", directed against the government. In an open letter the protestors have dismissed their government, claiming the Members of Parliament are no longer fit to represent the Bosnian people.
