Both figures (curator and paltera) have occupied a specific habitus in their respective field. Based on their experience and the relationships they have forged, they have created a structure that can enforce their authority and occasional autonomy. However, the deployment of their power continues to be contingent to fundamental and essential figures and agencies: the artist and the medical doctor. This heirarchization of roles has been stitched in their identities and modes of operation. Their immediate presence is despised/demonized and being feared of, but still deemed to be necessary, if not an imperative accessory. -Renan Laru-An discussionlab/features/the-p-orbital-notes-about-a-curator-laru-an/
