Both games (first game was between Goodfellas and Joburg Eagles) had a bit of bite in them, which could partly be attributable to the frosty conditions in which the games were being played under. But there were other underlying issues at play, especially with the second game between Phoenix and Rhinos. There was a bit of tension, which brought about some friction, which then sparked into an ugly confrontation instigated by the Phoenix’s willy point guard, Welly. He was promptly relegated to the bench in the second half after that fracas, and deservedly so.
