Bowled in york pa today in the bowlers supply storm regional. I actually led qualifying on a pattern i despise...chameleon. i hated it at 39 ft and the 43 ft version doesnt like me much more. I practiced yesterday and after an hour i looked like an a- hole . Then Greg Ostrander and Jimmy Plessinger bowled on my pairs and they were playing up 8. Jimmy suggest i try it. I said what the hell. So then i proceeded to throw like 8 high flush in a row. It was hard to make me believe that was real. I didnt think it would be there today but i certainly wasnt going to throw it all over the building playing in. I crossed with Billy Asbury who threw it great for 7 games until we hit a bad pair on 25 and 26. He split more than a chinese gymnast when he only needed to break up one of those penalties. I hated seeing that happen to a good guy and a good player. Congrats to the young Kevin Donovan on making match play on a very tough pattern. Howard Ayres bowled well too but hit a pair where the high game was 153. Horrible break for howie but still good bowling. I was very fortunate to have one solid choice in the marvel s for the tighter lanes and finally found the wrecker for the lanes that hooked before i let go of it. Tommy Gollick just missed the finals but got a check. Hopefully this helps him turn the corner on a rough stretch. And Brian LeClair should be outlawed. Doesnt practice yesterday yet knows exactly where to play and with what ball. Better yet, he never practices at home. Amazing
