Boy oh boy, what a day (ipad nightmare) and Ive still got composing work to do, so itll be early hours again for a finish, but, this life I choose, and all that..... So tonight id like to sign off with some music that isnt mine, shock horror, shock shock horror . I love all styles of music I really do, all out metal right through to jazz. But stand out music to me tells a story, wether with lyrics or without, Mark Knopflers Going Home is a great example of music on its own telling you the story. Now this track posted here is called Rose in Paradise and its a Country piece by Waylon Jennings. Some may know him, some may not, some may recognise his voice from a tune called The Good Ole Boys, which was used as the theme tune to the 80s TV series The Dukes of Hazzard. Well Waylon tells this great story in Rose In Paradise about a banker and his very lovely lady, but that banker was a jealous man and what should have been a wonderful home for that pretty lady became her prison. And what does happen to that lady at the end well never know. But hey Im going to get back to work and ill let Waylon tell you the story, he does it so much better than I.
