THE KING! “AND HE HAS ON HIS VESTURE AND ON HIS THIGH A NAME WRITTEN, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS” (Revelation 19:16). His Birth, Saviorship and Lordship cannot be divided. Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, went from cradle to the cross to the throne. He came into this world to die, forgive sin, and redeem mankind—His First Advent. In His promised Second Advent, He will come as King of kings and Lord of lords. And then, Christ shall reign forever and ever with His saints. Christmas is the unique Christian message. It represents God’s gift of love to a lost and dying world. Although man continually denies it and seeks to omit it from his world, the truth cannot be erased. The life, ministry and work of Jesus changes life and provides an eternal hope to all those who believe. The biblical message provides the one and only escape from sin. The Church needs to beam this shining light to a world that is caught in the web of a commercial, artificial and plastic Christmas. Christmas is much more than gifts and parties; it is the joy of knowing Christ and living for Him each day. It is a special time to celebrate His birth, rejoice in redemption and look forward to a glorious future. While the world walked its normal path, the nearby shepherds received a special angelic message and came to worship Him. The wise men, seeing the unusual star, traveled far to see the new-born King and present their special gifts. The contemporary world is no different. The majority population goes about its business without recognizing Jesus Christ, Savior and Lord. We who know Him understand and know true life. There is no life without Christ. What Christmas do you celebrate? Is it the true one or false one? Put Christ into your Christmas. Christmas will never be real without the Savior. The Savior has come; He will come again as King. Are you ready to meet Him?
