Brahmins are numerically insignificant in most states and in reality they hold little or no power across the country. The quota system initiated over the 67 years (50% and in some states up to 67%) has meant that brahmins are almost completely excluded from Govt Jobs, PSU jobs, medical seats, and government engineering colleges. Post the liberalized 1990s, and the proliferation of self-financed engineering colleges, brahmins chose engineering, Management and then IT jobs and regains their position abroad. No wonder foreign nations have used Brahmin talent for the benefit of their country.Their rise and achievements are due to pure merit. This is hard to digest for other. The bottom line is, Brahmins never suppressed others. Because they never ruled in the history.
