Bravo! Government has blocked WTO agreement showing concern for the farmers..In short, the deal was like US and west saying you can not buy foodgrains from the farmer at good price, which is anyway below the cost of production, and you cant give food to your hungry poor at reduced price whereas in west we can give our poor(really?) subsidized food in form of foodstamps costing hundreds of billions..But hey you third world idiots you have to open up your market for Mc Donalds,General Motors,Levis and thousands of other companies by reducing customs duty on their products so that we could flood your country and kill your companies which will find it difficult to compete..Thus the conclusion is West decides and rest follows..Great to see that the new Govt has stood up and said Wake up Uncle Sam this is 21st century and you are not the boss?..Hope Govt does not give in to the pressures being mounted.
