Bravo for this man!! For low income families, once a child reaches school age the amount of benefits and cash assistance they receive is reduced. Why? Because our government has determined that a school-aged child 5 years and older can sustain on ONE meal a day. ONE MEAL. And those lunches that are being thrown in the trash may well be that ONE MEAL that our government feels is enough to satisfactorily feed a child. Shame on them. Shame, shame, shame.
