Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident that happened just shy of 8 am this morning in Woods County. Both 35-year-old Sonia Arana of Fairview and 34-year-old Matthew Acre of Fairview were driving their vehicles westbound on state highway 45. Arana was in a 2006 GMC Envoy and Acre was in a 2012 Nissan Titan Pickup. Acre slowed to turn left and Arana tried to pass him and ended up swerving off the roadway to the left, struck a ditch, went through a fence, and finally came to rest in a field. Arana was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid in stable condition with back injuries. She had 2 passengers in the car. One suffered a minor trunk injury, but was treated and released from St Mary’s while the other was not injured. Acre was also not injured.
