Braxton Brewing Company Co-Founders Friday Note 8.15.14 Happy Friday! Throughout our journey to launch, the team has been asked many questions. Today, we wanted to take an opportunity to answer the questions our most loyal fans have been asking. We look forward to sharing this process with you! When are you opening? We have an ambitious goal of opening before the end of the year. As construction progresses and we narrow down a specific date, you’ll be the first to know! Where are you located? We can’t wait to call Covington home. Our brewery and taproom will be located at 25 W 7th St. We’ll be right around the corner from The Madison Theatre and Event Center, along the Pike Street Corridor and just down the street from Mainstrasse. If you want to catch a brew before the ball game, we’re just a 20-minute walk across the river. What beers do you have planned? (Via Gabe Smith on Facebook) Great question! We are planning to have a very diverse portfolio with a great lineup. Expect to see a best in class IPA and many other unique styles, as well as classic styles that are not typically brewed in our area. Will you have a taproom? Yes, there will be plenty of space and beer to enjoy. We’ll have a team ready and waiting to pour you a pint. Are we hiring? Currently, we are not. As soon as we start hiring, well let you know. The Braxton team is evaluating what opening day staff looks like. Where does the Braxton name come from? Like many other great American entrepreneurs, we started in a garage on Braxton drive. As the project grew, cars were subtracted and taps were added. As the facility became a fully operating brewery, it only made sense to name it after the street where it all started. Thus, Braxton Brewing Company was born. Will there be an opportunity to sample a pint before the taproom officially opens? Perhaps at a social gathering of some sort? (from @Mr_859 via Twitter) There are strict laws around when we can and cannot sell and serve our beer. As soon as we are able to share our samples with you, we will. It will be worth the wait! Will your beer be delicious? Of course – we wouldn’t try to open if we knew we couldn’t bring to life beers that rival the best in the world. Between the 60+ combined years of experience the brewing team has, there’s no doubt that you’ll find something to enjoy and rave about at Braxton. Can I brew a batch?
