Brazilian Harley Riders: I know that many of my friends from Brazil will be riding in the United States, so I have a few thoughts for you. Approximately half of the drivers in this country have little, or no liability insurance that will give you money if they hit you on a rental bike or rental car. Please ask for an umbrella supplement of $2,000,000, which is what I have. This is very inexpensive, and is of absolute importance. Also, please make sure that you are a member of National H.O.G., as this gives you roadside assistance if your bike breaks down. This means that a truck will come to you, and will take your bike to the closest Harley dealership. You will probably not be able to get a truck to come help you without this H.O.G. Membership, especially during a busy Rally or busy Harley event. When asking for an umbrella insurance policy, please ask for one that gives you extra protection if you cause a wreck, but also protects you if someone hits you. Grande Abraco.
