Bread of life John 6:35 Samson 13 So his father went down to the woman. And Samson gave a feast there, for young men used to do so. And it happened, when they saw him, that they brought thirty companions to be with him. Then Samson said to them, Let me pose a riddle to you. If you can correctly solve and explain it to me within the seven days of the feast, then I will give you thirty linen garments and thirty changes of clothing. But if you cannot explain it to me, then you shall give me thirty linen garments and thirty changes of clothing. And they said to him, Pose your riddle, that we may hear it. Jdg14:10-13. We talked in the last issue that Samsons ministry was held back by a trivial thing like telling riddles, something that happens with all of us. But the question is: why did Samson leave his ministry and started telling riddles? My personal interpretation is that Samson wanted this riddle to prove two things, the first was his strength that made him able to tear the lion apart with his bare hands and the second thing was to prove his sharpness and intellect. Samson had a feeling of inferiority towards the people who occupied his own people and this is why he wanted to prove his superiority on all fronts and not only on the physical strength front. The feeling of inferiority is a destructive feeling that makes the person live in continuous pain and hence the person becomes always in need of pain killers like the getting attention and the continuous endeavors to be superior in all the fields. So you will find that the people who try to prove their superiority in all fields lack self confidence, contrary to what they show! But you may ask: How come that Samson felt inferior while he is Samson, the strongest man in history? The answer is that the inferiority feelings and all the negative feeling are not based on facts but rather on demonic lies and this is why it cannot be healed by logic only but the unconditional love is the base of for healing and the only unconditional love is the Gods love as it is the real water and this is why our Lord said Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life Jhn4:13,14. No matter how much you drink from the water the world offers you will still be thirsty because it is conditional and fake love. The negative feelings cannot be healed from outside by competition and getting attention but rather from inside through Gods love or someone sent by God; someone who enjoys Gods unconditional love and can reflect it! This is why you will find that Samsons superiority in the physical strength did not prevent his feeling of inferiority and he was looking for love and attention. The same thing happens with us. We feel inferior and hence we try to prove our superiority in all fields. So you see a very successful servant of God who gets involved in another ministry where he has no calling from God, just to be successful and get more attention. Or a servant of God who dedicates his ministry to prove the failure of another ministry or another denomination so that he can feel superior and so on. If you have a feeling of inferiority, do not try to prove your superiority because this will not heal your thirst but rather trust God who loves you the way you are! If you get your value from God, you will never feel inferior again.
