Break the Silence against Domestic Violence is all about educating communities about violence and abuse amongst all groups of people. BTS believes in diversity and that is why tomorrow the ladies from New York City will be tabling at Staten Island pridefest from 8AM-5PM. This is a FREE event so we are welcoming all supporters nearby to come and meet myself (Lauren) and the rest of the new york ladies. We will be using tomorrows event to educate attendees about what Break the silence is, what we plan on doing with BTS and WHY. I believe that is always the most important question - Why do we do this? We do this because we are SURVIVORS and SURVIVORS are STRONG. Its up to us to turn victims into survivors. We have been there at one point- lost, confused, depressed, brought down-- now that we fought to find our new lease on life it is our purpose and mission to help other men, women and children heal and discover their new lives outside of violence and abuse.
