Breaking: Civil society members are protesting outside the Gilgit-Baltistan House in Islamabad against the government for not giving representation to some specific regions of Gilgit-Baltistan in the interim cabinet. The regions not given representation in the interim cabinet include Ghizer and Hunza. The protest is being held as an oath-taking ceremony of the cabinet members is in progress inside the GB House where portfolios are being allotted to the cabinet members. It should be noted that the interim cabinet is mandated with holding the upcoming general elections in the region. Members of the caretaker cabinet are Inayatullah Shumali, who hails from Diamer district and is the chairman of the G-B National Alliance; Sheikh Nasir Zamani, who is a religious scholar and social activist from Nagar Valley; Advocate Mushtaq Ahmed, who is a senior Jamaat-e-Islami leader from Astore district; Niamatullah who belongs to Bunji; and Sanaullah, a former bureaucrat from Skardu town.
