Breaking News - Four escape from Omaruru Police cells By Floris Steenkamp The Namibian Polices regional command confirmed four trial awaiting prisoners escaped from custody at the Omaruru police station at around 03:00 on Saturday. They are believed to have cut a hole in the roof of their cell during the dark hours. The escapees are: Trougot Nanub (37); Baffie Baggio Gaoseb (26); Vaino Shapika (29) and Leon Gamxamub (30). Police officers have been deployed in the Omaruru area to search for the escapees and a group of policemen has also been dispatched from Walvis Bay to join the search. If you have any information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects, kindly contact your nearest police station or the Omaruru police at station at 064-570010.
