~Breaking Silence~ I stopped writing for some time, Blaming what was being written, For not saying what I needed to say, Allowing the days to waste away in silence. It took me a while to pick my pen up again, I still don’t want it to remain, As written words alone, They flow just as elegantly, When spoken, For the words that spill from my pen, Are from my heart, Completely in love with you. I’ve often been frustrated, with The time it takes to close our distance, I can’t pluck from you The words I long to hear, Though everything is felt completely, Remained consistent, As I fell to my knees, Begging for release, from All that was overwhelming me. Feelings were pushed down, Trapped, while Trying to hold myself steady, and Not let too much cross over, While grieving the loss of, Everyone and everything, Held near and dear to my heart.
