Breaking The Kennedy Curse... Not long ago... I watched the final episode of The Kennedys, a television mini series that ended when the actors who played The Kennedy Family revealed The Kennedy Secret. Whats their secret? Blood, Sweat and Tears and the willingness to pay whatever price the endeavor demands and to do it all as a family with a shared sense of purpose. Joseph P. and Rose Kennedy discovered many secrets to The American Dream. Unfortunately... The Kennedy Family mostly kept the best, most valuable secrets to themselves. Need proof? Listen closely to the words of Ted Kennedy Jr. at the funeral of his father... United States Senator Edward M. Kennedy (the attached video). Twelve year old Ted Jr. had lost a leg to cancer and as he tells it... Ted Sr. told his fearful son they would climb the snowy hill together, even if it took all day. Tough talk for a wounded 12 year old... But it worked. In other words, Ted Kennedy Sr. knew the WISDOM to make HIS son strong... shared it with him, but NOT with the rest of US. Unforgivable it is when a mans political philosophy and national leadership is exactly opposite the best wisdom that he shares with his son. Why does this matter so much? Because Americas economic underbelly would no longer exist today... IF... the surviving son had shared the secret to how Camelot became that way... with All of US- INCLUDING... the wounded ones. Believe what you want about the Kennedy family contribution to American Politics, but its hard to deny America would be a much better place today if JFK or RFK or Ted Kennedy Sr. shared their parents Tough Talk and secrets to The Dream not just with their own children... but with the rest of America too. Instead, Americas Royal Family said Let them eat cake... American Style. After JFK, in order to secure their familys place in history... The Kennedy Family began telling Americans that they were entitled to their share of The American Dream. Now, after decades of self-serving privilege and talk of entitlement, even The Kennedy Family has lost sight of the magical power of The Dream. Today, the only time The Kennedy Family makes news is for a family wedding or to put their name on another building or to advocate for Mental Illness or to make the case that RFK deserves a bigger share of the space at JFKs Presidential Library or to promote the good work of Hugo Chavez or for dating Taylor Swift or for being the last Kennedy to run for Congress. I cant help but wonder today... what Rose and Joe Kennedy would have to say about that. youtube/watch?v=m86jKLjV7-I
