Breaking: The National Association of Realtors reports that sales of existing rose 2.6 percent in June, an annualized pace of 5 million units, the best pace since October 2013. However, sales of new homes are running at about half what they would be in a healthy housing market. Median home prices also rose in June, up for all housing types to $223,300, a rise of 4.3 percent over the same period last year. Meanwhile, the National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo builder sentiment index rose to 49 last month, up from May and the highest level since January of this year.
