Breaking news : Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa has been impeached The Adamawa state Governor, Murtala Nyako has been impeached. He was impeached after the state House of Assembly deliberated upon the report submitted by a seven-man investigative panel that probed allegations of financial misconducts against him and his deputy. Deputy Governor of the state, Bala Ngilari resigned his position shortly before the house commenced impeachment. The letter of Ngilaris resignation was read at the plenary by the speaker of the Assembly, Umaru Fintiri and approved by the lawmakers. Security is presently heavily fortified around the state assembly and state in general. People were not allowed to enter the assembly during the proceeding. Source:Viewpointnigeria
