Brenda says: My daughter is 12, and in the 7th grade. She is really struggling with classes that required reading, because she is at a 4th grade reading level. But, she is integrated in History and Science classes with the rest of the 7th graders. The teachers want to push her through, even though shes not capable of doing the work. She does have an IEP, and some special accommodations are made, but shes still struggling. How have you handled your childs educational needs? Are they in the grade they would be if they were the average student?
