Brian, Cody, Austin and the Allen/Bogardus families and all of Raquels close friends my heart goes out to you right now. I feel privileged to have been part of Raquels journey though sad I could never fully meet her as I had hoped and prayed. I want you to know that the days I would come to the hospital to give Raquels massage were the best days of the week for me- to be a part of such a loving, supportive circle of friends and family. I only wished, as a Massage Therapist, that my hands could have healed. My mother died when I was fifteen after a long battle with Cancer. There was such a strange mixture of grief and relief that followed once she passed, but just knowing that she was free of the body that held her back, that her spirit was now part of everything-and a part of me- got me through the tough times. My mom told me to look for her when the birds fly...and I have...everyday for over 20 years! Looks like Raquel knew her spirit was going to join with the butterflies. She sounded like such a sweet beautiful person- that flying on the wings of a butterfly makes total and complete sense :) I look forward to seeing her fly this summer. Much love to everyone!
