Bonagee playing into the wind in the first half had the better of the game and will be disappointed at going in on level terms at half time after some strong showings from their midfielders. Shortly after the break the opening goal arrived when a free kick from Darren Ashmore found Ian strain’s net from 30 yards. That woke Rathmullan up but they had to wait until the 80th minute before evergreen Mark “Mushy” Curran found space in the box to beat Paul Doherty at his near post. Both teams had chances to win it but a draw was a far result.
