Brian in Crumlin, N. Ireland - what a colony! Big number of bangers here today also, activity started at 7.20am and is still continuing,re moulting, feathers all over the place for the last week. At the last count from 28 occupied nests sixty four chicks have fledged ,six of which hit the ground were rescued and all flew away successfully about eight hours later . The weights of those rescued were as follows 37gm, 37 gm, 37gm,35 gm,36gm,42gm. Primary feather all 150mm except the 42gm one which was 155mm. Two boxes still to fledge with two chicks in each.
