Brief Notes on todays message entitled: The Burden of Prayer Nehemiah 1:4-6 Burden-1.a strong motivation to pray for others 2. to worry of trouble God concerning a matter 3.to be loaded down with responsibilities Nehemiah was burdened because the walls of Jerusalem was destroyed. His responded with prayer. He then looked for ways to forward beyond the sadness. He did not allow his emotions to get the best of him. Nehemiah was an intercessor. Intercessor- one who pray on behalf of others Prayer and fasting brings peace and gives direction concerning circumstances and challenges. Fasting equips us for the battle that we wage against satan and the flesh. Nehemiah understood that whatever consumes you controls you. Verse 5 shows that character of God, He reminds us that he keeps his covenant and promises. Make time for prayer. Our passion our lack of prayer shows our priority for God.
