British Athletics performance director Neil Black says Mo Farah is in “absolute peak physical shape” for his marathon debut on April 13, report telegraph.co.uk. Black has just returned from a week in Iten, Kenya where he checked on the double World and Olympic champion’s preparation. He says that Farah’s coach, Alberto Salazar, is very happy with his progress. Speaking on Farah’s collapse after the recent New York Half marathon, Black said that while the exact mechanism of what happened is not known, there is no cause for additional concern as it has happened before and has been monitored closely.
