Britton Hunter shared Jeff Hoovers video. A group of us worked together today to save this dog from certain death at a gassing facility in Eureka Springs, KS. He hadnt even been let out of his cage for TWO WEEKS because the Animal Control officer is scared of his breed. (They literally sprayed water through the cage / on him to wash out his kennel). They were going to kill him at absolutely any moment.... Its no wonder! Hes totally terrifying isnt he?!?!! Ive never seen such a horrifyingly handsome and affectionate dog! Enjoy the video - This boy is so overtly grateful to be saved and on his way to Nebraska - Im just so touched watching this. PS: For those who dont know, many U.S. animal shelters kill unclaimed pets by using GAS CHAMBERS instead of by more humane lethal injection. In bigger chambers, animals are piled together into what looks like a dumpster. The lid is closed and the chamber becomes pitch black. Often animals cry or even start fighting as they claw to get out of the terrifying confines of the metal box. Then, Carbon Monoxide gas is piped in for 20 or so minutes until all of the animals cries have stopped. Its atrocious that we, the American people, allow this kind of killing. Come on. If an animal has to go down, at LEAST do it humanely. Its sick, sick, sick that we let this happen. Missouri and Kansas still use these chambers - Write your politicians and let them know what you think. Say it loud and keep saying it. NO MORE GASSING.
