Broad Channel Civic 9 hours ago · NYC Build IT Back Rep Nick Masem will be at the September 26th Civic Meeting to address questions about the program including when will participating homeowners see funds, when will rebuilding of homes start, when will house rasing begin. According to Mr Masem the program will : 1) rebuild homew that were totally destroyed, 2) Repair homes not yet completed 3) Raise homes to higher elevations, 4) reimburse home owners for some of the expenses that they spent due to Sandy. Mr Masem will lead the contracting effort for the rebuilding work that will be done and is associated with the Arverne by The Sea contracting team. He reports that they have home lifting companies being brought up from Louisiana at this time and that they are prepared to raise thousands of homes for those who are interested and eligible. There is still time to register for the program by calling 311 and making an appontment to meet with a representative at Fort Tilden.
