Broad based growth expected: RBF 07:02 Today. The Fijian economy is expected to have a broad based growth with most real sectors of the economy expected to maintain growth momentum from last year. In its latest review the Reserve Bank of Fiji says investment which has been very supportive of growth is likely to remain robust this year. The RBF says healthy growth in the investment activity noted last year augurs well with the labour market. RBF’s Job Advertisement Survey shows the number of vacant positions increased by fourteen percent in January compared to one percent for the same period last year. This outturn was mainly led by the manufacturing sector. The annual consumer price inflation eased to 2.3 percent in January, down from 3.4 percent noted in December.
