Broke out my luge special rabbit hat to keep me warm in the safety launch this morning as these nine wonderful rowing fanatic women took the last official Ann Arbor Rowing Club (AARC) row of the year. Still flat water, with soft mysterious swirls of fog drifting through the 28 degree air made for a most magical and majestic sight. Mother nature then presented all of us with a gift of two bald eagles, one flying to meet its mate perched in a tree, where both eagles then looked down upon us and the river. When the sun rose on the last golden rust red leaves that have yet to fall, the light caught the eagles tail feathers and heads, which glowed like the moon in the darkest sky, as they pierced the morning silence with their calls. Just an absolutely magical way to end the season.
