Bromley Library House is open for free entry again on Wednesday 1st October from 10.30 am - 4.00 pm. A chance to see some of our reading rooms, the garden and our WWI exhibition. Volunteers and staff will be on hand to answer any questions. Forthcoming free Wednesday talks include 22nd October 1 pm - 2 pm A great uncles story told through family history A great talk for anyone just starting out on a family history project. 5th November 1 pm - 2 pm Private grief; public mourning: remembering the dead Rachel Farrand has spent a great deal of time working on local war memorials and the Nottinghamshire Roll of Honour. Our next Saturday lecture is by writer and historian Bryn Hammond 25th October 10.30 am - 11.30 am Writing popular First World War Military History £5.00 per ticket. All welcome.
