Bruce Rauner: Where to begin? He seems to think hes an expert in the diverse fields of healthcare, hedge funds, education, and now government. The only problem is - like many experts in all fields - he hasnt done really well on an objective, moral, or respectable basis in any of these areas. His actions have even led to injuries and worse of his clients and bitter fights leading to lawsuits amongst him and people HE HIRED to lead some of his organizations. He also broke several rules in having his daughter go to a CPS selective-enrollment school which also took a spot away from an eligible student IN CHICAGO (i.e she/he lived in Chicago and passed the entrance exam; and his dad didnt call the CPS Superintendent and make a significant contribution). He also says his wife is a Democrat when she hasnt voted for such candidates in several years. Hes been against, then for, then against the minimum wage. Hes anti-union though made money managing UNION PENSION FUNDS. He wants to BEGIN adding a tax on legal and other services which amounts to a TAX INCREASE. Hes also threatened journalists before an election, then complained about the coverage including alleging a conflict of interest. Did you know that Mr. Rauner was part-owner of the Sun-Times. THAT was not the conflict of interest Mr. Rauner was concerned about. Because I dont want someone like the tempermental Chris Christie or the agenda-based and unsuccessful governorships of Scott Walker, Rick Scott, or Rick Perry (the one who wanted to secede from the union and is again going to run for President), I was proud to vote for Pat Quinn. Like me and almost everyone I know, hes not perfect, though Ive yet to meet anyone who is.
