Bryan Laviolette asked for my analysis on Game 2 of the 2013 World - TopicsExpress

Bryan Laviolette asked for my analysis on Game 2 of the 2013 World Series, so heres my analysis of Game 2. I was surprised to find out that John Lackey pitched against pitchers who the announcers mainly focused on, first Justin Verlander in the ALCS and now Michael Wakka, and won both games. What it showed was that just because one pitcher is more popular to announcers than the other doesnt translate into an easy win at all, It was good to see Carlos Beltran recover from his hard hit into the outfield wall robbing David Ortiz of a grand slam in Game 1, especially considering how bad that game went for the Cardinals. Yesterday, they proved that they werent going to give up so easily and that if the Red Sox wanted to beat them again like they did in 2004, a sweep would be out of the question. Lastly, what can I say about Ortiz that other people havent said about him? When he hit the homerun over the Green Monster last night, it showed that time and time again, he is Mr. Clutch and is able to make a game change with one swing of the bat when it counts. Tyler
