Bryophytes of a single Acer macrophyllum lower trunk - Low elevation forest, Puget Sound region, Pierce County, Washington. I walked around a single Acer macrophllum trunk at the edge of my yard this afternoon and photographed about a dozen bryophytes. This is number two of the series, a golden-yellow species with very small leaves, some sporocarps in one photo, and which was creeping up the tree bark about six feet off the ground. Any ideas?
