Buddha is often portrayed in the earth witness mudra - with his right hand touching the ground. We should consider touching the earth from time to time too, even if there are many layers of conceptualization between us and it. In addition to sitting - cooking, gardening, cleaning, and walking can all be part of our meditation practice, especially if we really connect with present awareness along the way.
