Buhari is 71. Jonathan is 56. Atiku is 67. Sam Nda-Isaiah is 52. In a collection of contestants, one person must be the oldest. It so happens that Buhari is the oldest here, but he is 15 years older than Jonathan; 4 years older that Atiku; and 19 years older than Sam Nda-Isaiah. Is there a youth here? Mba! If we argue in favor of youthfulness, fresh ideas, and and the quality of being untainted by previous political engagements, then we must come down on Sam Nda-Isaiah. If we argue in favor of previous achievements, zero-tolerance for corruption, and patriotism marked by military engagement to defend the territorial integrity of Nigeria, then we must come down on Buhari. If we argue in favor of independent thinking and success in industry and business, then we must come down on Atiku. If we argue in favor of the the leader whose administration has the worst record of corruption in Nigeria (worse than that of Babangida and Abacha) and zero achievements, then we must come down on Jonathan.
