Bulat shares several qualities with Kamina from Gurren Lagann who also has the same Voice Actor. Both are called Big Bro or Aniki by their respective protagonists. Neither is actually related to the protagonist. Both punch their respective protagonists (Tatsumi and Simon) so they would come to their senses during a decisive battle. Both have died with a smile on their face in Episode 8 from their respective anime, and their ´´little brother´´ mourns them in a raining day. Both Kamina and Bulat left a gift (Gurren and Incursio) and his will to the protagonist (Simon and Tatsumi respectively).
