Bullet Trains is a ridiculous idea for India ! In our country to plan Bullet trains is a most ridiculous idea ! It has only political value, and that is also suspected ! Do we need it ? In China the ticket price of a Bullet Train is 2.5 times more of a Shatabdi type train of their country for the same distance ! If some one pays that much to get this train ticket, that person should travel by air which is cheaper ! This is evident because in China the trains run half empty ! Moreover, in Winter, our trains run late because of low visibility due to fog ! What will happen to that passenger who gets into this train and gets stranded in the middle of nowhere ? Add to that laying of completely new tracks including new bridges over rivers, fencing on two sides all along, cost of train, cost of bogies and cost of new signal system and the gain is minimum ! And only the affluent will be able to ride this train ! How the common people will be benefited ?
