Buncombe County Schools will be on a 3-hour delay Friday, January 31, with no buses on icy roads. Although primary roads are in good shape, low temperatures today kept many secondary roads from thawing. Hopefully a 3-hour delay will enable us to have school tomorrow; although clearly not the best option for instruction, it is a safer option given the higher than usual number of icy secondary roads across the county. As always, it is good to have a contingency plan in case buses can’t reach all of their usual stops due to poor road conditions.
